Property Inspector

We are looking for experienced, professional and highly skilled Property Inspector to deliver a high quality, customer focussed property inspection to occupied Council Housing, which will include estates buildings all within the Borough of Fareham.  

You will work as part of Fareham Housing to carry out post inspections the Council’s housing stock and arrange building works as and when required. You will ensure that properties are maintained and improved to the required standards within authorised budgets. 

Reporting to the Responsive Repairs Manager (Housing), you will lead on all property post Inspections, to Council owned homes, providing support to a busy team of building professionals.

We would like to speak to property inspectors, supervisors, multi-skilled operatives, who can carry out works to a professional standard. 

The ideal person will have an excellent understanding of all building trades, building construction and maintenance with previous experience working within social/council housing. 

The right person requires the ability to provide technical building repairs advice and guidance to Senior Management and to the team, to ensure the most appropriate work is undertaken to preserve housing assets, whilst having awareness to costs. 

You should be able to carry out any minor works required to ensure the works are completed within the legislations time scales. 

You will need a a full valid driving licence is also required as you will be driving a Council vehicle during working hours, typically be 8.00am - 4.30pm Monday to Friday.
