Conservation Planner

In this role you will be responsible for providing pre-application advice on heritage proposals and dealing with applications relating to listed buildings.  You will also be responsible for reviewing and updating Conservation Area Character Assessments and taking forward associated Article 4 Directions. 

The successful applicant will have an appropriate qualification in Town and Country Planning, Building Conservation or a related discipline and/or relevant experience.  You will also need to demonstrate a proven ability to make decisions on listed building and Conservation Area related matters and have a good understanding of relevant planning policy and guidance.

You will be offered flexible working, with opportunities to work both in the office and at home.  You will however be required to travel throughout the Borough so a full driving licence and suitable means of transport is required.
