ICT User Support Training Officer

We are seeking an enthusiastic and customer-focused ICT professional to join our team at Fareham Borough Council. In this dynamic role, you will provide friendly, effective support and training to colleagues throughout the organisation, helping them maximise the use of our corporate applications, particularly Microsoft 365.

As part of our expanding digital training initiative, you will play a key role in developing and enhancing new training services, contributing ideas, shaping content, and advancing ICT learning delivery across the organisation.

• Engage with service users to build confidence and help them use our systems effectively.
• Design and deliver training programmes for ICT applications, with an emphasis on Microsoft 365.
• Provide both in-person and virtual training sessions to staff at all levels.
• Identify skill gaps and collaborate with managers to address training needs.
• Maintain detailed training logs, progress records, and gather user feedback.
• Support staff by responding to telephone and email queries regarding routine ICT issues.
• Assist in allocating support requests within the ICT team.
• Manage logistics for all training sessions, including sending invitations and maintaining schedules.
• Create and update user guides, procedures, and helpful reference materials.
• Deliver ICT induction sessions for new employees.
• Maintain systems such as the software licensing record system and asset management database.
• Stay current with system changes and new initiatives, sharing updates with users.
•  Provide office cover as part of a staff rota.
