We are looking for a highly motivated and forward‑thinking Service Development Manager to join our Street Scene team at a time of significant transformation. This pivotal role will provide essential capacity and leadership to support the delivery of major programmes, service improvements, and strategic initiatives that underpin the Council’s corporate priorities.
Reporting directly to the Director of Streetscene, you will act as a key enabler for change - leading the co-ordination of complex programmes such as preparations for local government reorganisation, systems modernisation, and the rollout of simpler recycling arrangements. You will oversee project milestones, manage risks, and ensure effective reporting to senior leaders.
A major aspect of the role involves developing and maintaining data dashboards to support evidence‑based decision‑making, drafting reports and consultation documents, and helping shape future policy and strategy for the service. You will also champion digital transformation, contract management improvements, and new ways of working across Street Scene.
