Engagement and Research Officer

Our Engagement and Research Officer role is an important one, helping to deliver our new and exciting approach to corporate engagement. You will organise and run consultations, and create interesting content that encourages people to have their say either online or in person.

You will also use your research and analysis skills to support a range of exciting projects, helping to find answers to what can be complex problems. You will also be part of a team that monitors the performance of our services, helping to support continuous improvement across the Council.  

This role requires working occasional evenings and weekends for consultation events.  You’ll also need a car and full driving licence.

Ideally educated to degree level or equivalent, understanding how to research a topic will be key.  You’ll also have excellent numeracy, analytical, ICT and written communication skills.

You should be enthusiastic about engagement, friendly, have a customer focussed attitude and be able to work independently. Excellent time-management skills are also really important for this varied position as is the ability to deal with changing priorities.
