Ride-on Mower Driver / Assistant Gardener

About The Role

We’re looking for Ride-on Mower Drivers to help maintain and improve parks and open spaces within the Borough of Fareham. 

As part of a team you will:

Maintain grass in our parks, along road verges and play areas following a set route
Clear leaf-fall from open space areas
Inspect sites and let your supervisor know of any problems you spot
Sweep, collect and remove litter, rubbish and animal waste
Use a smartphone to complete simple electronic records, inspections and work-related information
Assist with a range of gardening and grounds maintenance duties, including pruning, weeding and general upkeep of shrubs and hedges.

The working hours are 8am to 4pm Monday to Thursday and 8am to 3.30pm on Fridays.

About You

You will need to have a full, valid UK driving licence.

Full training for the Ride on Mower will be provided to the successful applicants.

You will have a mature attitude and able to work without close supervision and communicate with our customers in a professional way.

It's important that you have the ability to get on well with your team and have a steady and methodical approach to work.
